HI

Have a question ... I'll try to post some pictures later on today or tomorrow ...

I'm wondering what are some white worms im my tank filled with water ... there is no fish in it since ... october or even earlier ... the only thing that comes to my mind is that there is a plant behind the tank ... - could they be from plant's gravel ??? (philodendron)

THANKS 4 ALL MESSAGES ;)

ps. are they harmful to discus ??

Do they look like little snips of thread? IF no fish then they are some type of scavenger worms living off the mulm in hte tank.

If they are tiny, thin white thread-like worms that wiggle and float around, they could be nematodes-harmless to fish, bothersome to me. More water changes and tank-cleaning has gotten rid of them-nothing to live off.

I was using my videocam - sorry for quality - hope it will help in recognizing this worm ...

Thanks once again 4 all responses

There living off something in the tank, did you clean the filter, and clean sides and tank bottom with bounty paper towel?

Julie... does it have to be Bounty brand  :D

Jim: It doesn't have to be bounty; just something that doesn't disintegrate in the tank(I wouldn't suggest toilet paper)

nope, not planaria. Planaria feel like bumps on the glass walls of the tank.
