Hi all,
I have a 65 gal BB tank with 9 two year olds. Today i deceided to change the water with peat added, WORKS LIKE A MAGIC, one pair is starting to lay egg 4 hours later. Problem is they are putting their eggs at a working heater and i have no breeding tank setup yet, I turned off that heater now but i think those eggs are cooked. I am not ready for them to breed just yet ( Like human, Babies take so much time and commitment to raise), how can i stop them laying eggs at the future? Need help ASAP because i feel guilty to let their eggs wasted.

All eggs are eaten. Thanks anyway.

Lay the heater down on the floor of the tank and put in flower pot for them next time to practice on :)

I usually have an egg guard over the heater just so the female won't lay
any of her eggs on the heater.
