I am going to be on vacation from 3/24 to 4/3, and am looking for comments of suggestions for my plan to take care of the fish. I have someone to do water changes (LFS- $65 per hour- ouch), and I bought an Eheim auto feeder. My plan is to 50% w/c every day before I go, and then have the w/c done 3/26, 3/29 and 4/1, and to set the auto feeder on 3 times per day feedings with Tetra bits.

Do you see any problems with this or know of any improvements?

Also, I have an Emperor, Aquaclear and Magnum running. I thought I would clean the Aquaclear tonight, the Magnum tomorrow and the Emporer Tuesday. I think the bio loads will be okay since I have the bio-wheels on the Emperor and am just rinsing out the sponges in the Aquaclear. I was going to change the micro cartridge in the Magnum.

Thoughts on this plan?

Finally, when I get back, do I do small w/c every day, or a big one?

Thanks for the help.

Looks good. I would reduce feeding to 1 time per day just in case something happens.

Heck I live close I'll change your water for the gas it takes me to get there. Have a nice vacation. :)

Thank you all. I thought tetra bits would work best in the auto feeder. Should I use flakes instead, or does it matter?
