Hello all, I picked up some aquarium meds at a pet store closing auction and was wondering what some of you thought of them. I would rather throw them away than use something that is ineffective. The are mostly from Aquatronics.

1) Formalite I : 15% Formaldehyde, Malachite Green and Copper Sulfate

2) Discomed : Levamisol, NaCl, Piperazine, Magnesium Sulfate and Neomycin Sulfate

3) Ampicillex : Ampicillin Trihydrate

4) Pipzine : Piperazine Citrate

5) Quinsulex : Quinine

6) Permoxyn from Kordon : 3.8% Potassium Permanganate

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. My medicines now consists of Parasite Clear from Jungle, Fluke Tabs, and Melafix. Thanks

Hi, I like Pipzine for deworming, it's good for round worms and capillaria. Hold onto that.

Discomed is also good for deworming but needs to be fed.

Are they Aquatronics meds? Check the expiry date on them.

Ampicillin is a good antibiotic and may come in handy for a tough bacterial infection. I've used it as well.

I've used potassium permanganate, it's good if you're very careful with it and watch your fish for the 4 hour treatment. It is used for external parasites.

I haven't used the other meds.
