Growth Question

If you have a couple of young discus 7 or 8 months and about 5" not counting tail, They are pairing up. Will I stunt their growth if I move them to their own 30 gal tank? Will it slow their growth? They are now in a 75 gal with 8 others of their size.

The answer is No. They will keep growing if you feed them well. Use food that do you foul the water much. Rest the pair between broods in the community tank.

I have a 25 gall with 3 fish in it and they are growing like madness. I just keep it really clean after feedings and use carbon to clean the water after meals..

The female will not grow much as the energy for growth will go to the production of eggs. The male will grow more.
I would separate the pair untill they are at lease 15 months old.
