my red melon= male or female? why always fight?

i have 5 super red melon in my tank.

do u know how to Differentiate in between male and female?

and when ever i feed them. they start fighting. not really fighting. but but they use their head and bang on each other.

any clue?

Hard to tell until you can see the ovipositor. Female's is larger in diameter and looks like a cylinder - blunt end. Males is smaller around and has a pointy end.

I heard the redder coloration would indicate female ?? I might be all wrong !

time is the only way to tell what and see who spawns with who
from what i've heard the male will be bigger than the female but
then agian that is not a sure fire way to tell some grow faster
than other's so good luck on yer search

hoping my 5 melon are not all dude.

can't really tell.

because one of my hosue mate has 10 discus. they never fight.

and mine fight for food, or aything.

when they see me waking to the room. the know food is coming.

i got 12 in a tank and they get in to it but not as much as the 8 i have in
the other tank.the more u have the more the bully's have to spread out the
aggretion.
don't worry they won't all be male i'm sure u have a female in there some where but u never can tell luck of the draw i guess
