Amquel question

Hi all,

Quick question. Does Amquel smell like sulfur (rotten egg) out of the bottle? Or is that a sign that it is no longer good?

I don't think I remember Prime smelling like that until it is in the water. I might just have a bad memory;p

Amquel Plus have that smell and also Prime. I don't think regular Amquel have that smell but my memory is not too good either. LOL

I always thought it smelled like vinegar.

I am an Amquel+ user, and I thought at first that it was going bad because of the smell. It doesn't start out smelling that bad, but it is quiet noticeable with age. I have used it for almost a year with no problems.

sulphur dioxide is used to dissipate chlorine. there must be a component of the product that produces sulphur dioxide. sodium thiosulphate?
