Is it possible to set up a tank and get brines large enough to reproduce?
Im thinking of setting up a tank so i can feed the youngins and the old with live brineshrimp...
If this is so what do brineshrimp eat??

ahhhhhhh i see i thought it was just dumb to have a tank running brine shrimp
I thought it would be kinda cool to do for the sake of treat food... I saw a shop running something? One apon a time :confused:

Actually, raising adult brine shrimp is absolutely do-able. But it is a lot of effort for the kind of yield that you expect. I've kept a culture going for 6 months but most of the time i don't get enough of a harvest to even make a single meal for 1 fish. Some people have had success just leaving the entire tank of brine shrimp outdoors and then forgetting about it. The brine shrimp survive on the green algae produced, but that also produces greenish brine shrimp.
But anyway, IMHO, it think it's more worth it to just buy adult BS from the petstore.
