Hi All
I got 3 50 gal plastic barrels from a person that owns a farm. He told me that they had powered baby food in them that was used to mix with the calf food. They had been dittin outside and were realy dirty. I rinced and scrubed and bleached 4 to5 times and now they look realy clean inside. No oder. Do you think it is safe to use for my discus? I dont have any culls to test it on, but I have some africans I could try the WCs on.

I agree with both Carol and Mench you should be fine with your cleaned out barrels. If your still concerned with the the possibility of some residual bleach you can alway fill up with clear water and add some declor and let it set for a day...then rinse again and air dry for 24 hours and in theory there shouldnt be any issue with the chlorine...
