peculiar behaviour

Gday folks,
Just like to hear if anyone else has ever seen this behaviour in adolesent males before ? : every time when I feed my school of juvenile golden discus cubes of discus diner(A group of six in an 55 gallon bb tank) one of them I think its a male because of the distinct pointy tube he rides over it as if to fertilise the darn cube before eating it ;-) ?????
please reply and if so explane .
