Can someone explain what the temp. comp. is for and what should it be set at to get a correct reading. Mine is set at 0.50 and I get a reading of
TDS 117ppm at 83.4 degrees

KH 120ppm
GH 75ppm
PH 7.4

These are measured right from the tap (well water) I am not having any luck raising Discus. All fish are young, and eggs turn white after about the second day. Do I need to invest the $ for a RO Unit in order to get fry?

Thanks Rich

Hanna recommeds keeping it at 50% for aquarium use, it can be set at other ratio's for things such as aquaculture etc. This is totally unrelated to the temp correction feature, it's used for changing from reading TDS to conductivity (MicroSemens). At 50%, a TDS of 50 translates to a conductivity reading of 100.

The temp correction is automatic regardless and simply insures an accurate reading at whatever temp your water is.
