Hi Jeff,
Wasn't a similar fish displayed during a Malaysian Discus exhibition. I think I saw them in Oliver Lucanus's site. They are called Calico if I am right.
Who knows? They maybe a popular strain in a few years.
Is it part of your collection? Is it a mutation from the ghost discus?

Calico yes. Usually not quite like this. This guy is a bit different. Something unique I thought I would share.

They look like the Wattley's Green Mambas only that they have a slight different color. It looks very interesting Jeff.

Great looking discus, every few years a pic of these blotched pattern discus appear on the market to tease us, but the breeders never seen to successfully be able make a strain from them. Hopefully, someday, someone will work out how to manipulate the genes to make these discus appear in numbers, they will be a hit imo.

Hey Beta. I think those were accidentally done to those discus through using Acids to lower the PH. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure too.. the fact that not many have been produced so far indicates that they are probably mutations and not chemically induced JMO

I have seen it both ways. Some come out that way, others are by accident.

They look like marbled angels to me. Very unique to discus for sure.
