No kidding, right. I jumped into a bunch of wild discus on a lark, thinking a tank was going to open up for them - no such luck. I have 8 wild peruvian greens and 6 wild blue discus. I bought them from a wholesaler at the GCCA classic in May. Very nice fish, healthy, eating like horses, but they are in the hands of someone who does not have the time to properly care for them. Nice fish, but I am an african cichlid fan.
The greens are 6 - 7" big and thick, the blues are 4 - 5". All are healthy, but i cannot provide photos - no camera. I am located north of Chicago about 30 minutes, and all are available. Trades considered for big tanks. No shipping. Greens are $30, blues are $25.
I also hav a 5 year old, one owner Oceanic 110 RR with wet dry iwaki (awaki?) pump, glass tops and lights. Tank is in okay shape as it sat empty for a year with moisture in the tank and it is slightly stained. Still living room pretty though.
