Are certain gang valves better than others?
I have the cheap plastic green ones with the black valves, and I've been having trouble keeping two of my Hydro Vs running. Plus they don't quite fit on the back of my 125-gal.

Which ones would you recommend as the best kind?

Thanks
Audrey

Audrey, I am new at this . But I have found that gang valves are not all created equal. Even the expensive fancy ones I had to have really let me down. The best ones I like , smooth and controlable are the ones made out of metal I bought from aquacave ( advertises here in the forum) .

I agree. Go with the stainless steel valves. Most of the plastic ones I've used are junk. I didn't know Aquacave sold them but I do know Petsmart does...

Thanks, Roberto and Jeep...I will give those a try.

I did finally figure out why my Hydro Vs weren't getting air, but my smaller 4x4 spongers were. The little tiny holes on the Hydro's, where the airline tubing attaches, were plugged. I used a tooth pick and unclogged them, now they are getting plenty of air! But it's always the last thing you try that works! ha ha ha ha! Silly me, of course it is!

Thanks,
Audrey
