What is the most popular foods to use with the auto feeders ?

Hi Roberto...right now I am using Tetra Color Bits and
New Life Spectrum Growth Formula. I have them set on
three feedings a day with small amounts. They work
great.

:D I'm using Hai Feng bits, both colors for most discus.. cichlid bits for the others & some flakes.. love those feeders, best & most reliable, Dottie :)

I only put flake food in mine. I had color bits and flake food mixed in it, but seemed the color bits all fell out first because they are heavier.

I love my auto feeder! Bet my discus do, too. ;)

I use tetra bits or other "bits". It works best when the food is uniformly sized.

I've been using Prime Reef flake. Both my discus and cards love it. I also put a food coral to keep the food in the same place. They hear the machine go and zoom over to the spot. The discus have gotten so used to it, I can pet their dorsal fin with one finger.

I have also found that flake food works best. When I tried the heavier foods, I could not adjust the amount it released. It was either not enough, or way too much!!!

I also had the same problem with my auto feeder. the larger the pellet/bits, the harder it was to get an exact amount I wanted. the ehein auto feeder works well for smaller food tho.

I put FDBW in mine and it works very well! The fan helps to keep them nice and dry as well..

I put beefheart flakes, freeze dried blood and black worms in mine.
