View Full Version : my fish can't dive. what happen?

one of my discus had a hard time to dive.

he wanna eat, but all the food is on the bottom.

he tries so hard to dive,. but he can't get it.

he just staying on top or somewhere in the middle.

what he is up to?

Sounds like he/she has a bad swim bladder, it might be retaining air for some reason. Thus your fish is having trouble diving. Someone in here should be able to help. But for now, don't feed him any color bits or other pellet food. And you might need to resort to hand feeding or getting a food corral and flake food to sit on the surface to let him eat.

i do not think it is about the air problem.

he is like miccheal jackson moonwalk there.

i feel so sad.

Swim bladder or constipation problem. First try epsom salt at 1 or 2 tablespoons per 10 gallons ( won't hurt biofilter or other fish) IF that doesn't help in 24 hours try a gram negative or borad spectrum antibiotic
