can someone post info on how to ship discus?

what are breather bags?
do you need to use oxygen?
info on amount of water/size of bag for different sized fish.
info on shippers, and which kind of shipping to use.

I am just a amateur breeder, but might want to start shipping some of my juveniles.

thanks.

You can usually get them from fish stores for nothing.

At what point would you need to use O2 to ship Discus? (how long of a shipment)

What would be the longest recommended travel time?

Think this will do better in this section...

I personally use O2 if they are going to be in the bag more than 4 hours....

great thanks for the link.

I think when I do this I will rent the O2 tank. Is it bad that I will be shipping my fish to myself and that I have started looking into this like 8 months in advance?? ;) My wife thinks that I have issues :D

Getting an O2 tank with the appropriate size regulator is fairly expensive. When you're ready to ship, you can take the bags to a LFS and they'll usually provide oxygen free.

If anyone is interested in purchasing an oxygen tank from a non-local
welding company check to see if your local welding company will refill
the tank.
