RO membrane question

Hi,
If I was only to use the RO unit once a week to make 30 gallons of water, do I need to take out the membrane and store it in the fridge between use, or will the membrane stay good w/ 6 days of non-use?

Just run a gallon of water through it every 3 days and it will be fine.

I have a question on this too. I also only use my ro unit once a week. How should you store it? For the 6 months I've had it, I fill up the barrell and let the ASOV turn it off. Then I close off the product line and incoming lines and store it under pressure. Then when I set it up again I flush it for 10 minutes and then make up another barrell. Is this OK?

Leaving the membrane moist with no flow is possible for a week, but you run the risk of biological fouling over time. I recommend some flow at least every 72 hours. You can probably get away with a week or longer, but there is a risk.
