Hello all. Newbie here.

I have eggs. I am not sure they are Discus.

1) How do I tell?
2) How do I know they are fertilizled?
3) What the heck do I do now?!
4) When do i do it?

Water is good (low hardness, no ammonia, mid 80's in temp) but the tank has a lot more than just Discus in it (Rams, Angles, eels, butterfly, ghost, bota, hatchets, flounder, loaches).

Thanks for any advice!

John

Are discus staring intently at the eggs and ruuning offf the other fish? If no, they probably aren't discus eggs. Discus eggs will turn black after 24+ hours if fertile. Wait and see :)

Thank you very much for your help.

Yes they are and yes they have. Now what? What do I do when they hatch? Will the discus protect them from other fish in the tank (assuming they do not eat them themselves?)? I was totally unprepared for this. It was not my intention to breed. I did not even know it could be done in a community tank type setting.

Probably they will get eaten in a community tank. Try a divider or a seperate 29 gallon for next time.
