Thats right
we were closer to the source of the fish
South America and becuase South American fish were not readily exported to Asia
we had first crack at the FLORIDA WHOLESALERS TANKS
Mr Jack Watley easily could drive over and scan tanks of differing importers of South American Fish...i had my man in Miami..always watching the dISCUS FOR ME...thats the way it was....others as well were watching and buying..men from ASia finally caught on ...yet they tended toward the browns and royal blues while we tended more toward the finer Green Fish, and blues..SO thats what developed, the Asian Breeders had, browns and red browns and royal blues and royal reds, while we had Tefe greens , and blues and Blue royal blues..the germans as well had some connections in Florida and were not far behind in obtaining fine Tefe Types...this was the big turning point..up until then it was for fun,, but at this juncture it became a all out race for the GRAND PRIZE
