Question concerning water quality

Ok I have a 55 gallon tank I am going to do barebottom with some discus. My question is my TDS is 250 and a ph of 7.4. Should I use an RO unit or should I simply do more water changes with the water I have available. It comes from a private well so it has no chlorine or other additives. My other quesiton is what do you guys think of the Kent Dieon 200R? How do I recharge this?

My well water is similar to yours. Grow outs and nonbreeders do fine. You may need to use a mix of RO and well water for the eggs to hatch.
