Hello everyone.....

Can anyone please advise on the following.
When treating with PP I leave in the aquarium for 4hrs, I then neutralise with hydrogen peroxide. When water clears I do a 50% water change and then replace my sponge filters.

My question is..
Should I expect any ammonia/nitrite spikes after this procedure????

Any help will be appreciated.

Mark

Mark I don't know if you will see a spike right away but watch your water because the Biological filtration will be damage by the bath. You Biologiical filtration system should be isolated during treatment, as bacterial flora will be adversely affected. One other thing It should not be mixed with formalin as this produces toxic formaldehyde gas.
