It would look pretty funky if you rossed it with a blue diomond. I wanna see what the babies would look like. Is that a male or female?

I'd look for another clean, white pigeon with bright red eyes like the one above. You will still get a variety of markings on the fry.

Thanks Carol, my problom is that the fish obove was sold as a pair (Stendker) and turns out that I think both are males:mad: they dont show any intrest in each other and even thogh the water is in perfect conditions the female wount spawn.... Thats why I was thinking in crosing this pair, here in Spain its prety hard or imposible to find such a clean white pigeon thats why I wanted to cross this male. Anyone else got any ideas:confused: Thanks :)

I'd try a blue diamond, and its not absolute that the fry will be peppered. I've crossed blue diamond with golden pb and brown with pb and received many clean fry in both cases.

Hi lisagariz, had to do a bit of searching and found these couple of pics for you. The first one is the golden pb and bd pair, all the babies they produced were pb based and mostly had very little pepper. What i found was a lot of variation in the markings and pattern, some were solid white and some spotted and lots inbetween. I would think a fish like yours crossed witha bd would tend to give mainly solidish babies, very nice ones i would think. i can't find a pic of the fry grown up a bit, but the 2nd photo is some fry that are golden pb crossed with brown ( the golden pb posted above was the father) .Many of the fry from this pair were also clean, just a little pepper on the nose and the edges of the fins was about as much as they got.

well if your fish is a female than make sure the blue diomond male can fertalize properly. BD males need to be at least a year old(correct me if Im wrong) in order to properly feryalize the eggs. But the female can be any age.

A melon will be fine - you will end up with various markings on the all pigeon fry.

Hello Carol, when you say markings, what are you refering to, peper?? If so what can I cross it with for it not to happen.

I mean pattern - like striations or pearls . . white markings on the orange base color. Pepper should not be too bad with this cross. :)
