Santa's little helpers, the elves, have done an awesome job this year. I'm sending them a little something (donation) to thank them for all their hard work. I thought that if people did the same, whether it's $5.00, or whatever you feel comfortable with, in the end, it helps us all.

Whether you just read the threads, told us your own experiences you've had in this obsession (oh, oops, I'm sorry, I meant "HOBBY" ), or just listened, it has benefited us all.

How far are we talking...I mean I can always use water change help?:) Oh sorry you meant the forum.. A sponsor with with nothing to sell? Now that would be very cool and we would gladly accept ! IM with details...I am very curious who this person is? I haven't been particularly good by some standards lately so i doubt Santa himself... but hey why not?!:)

Up to this point, people have become Sponsors only to sell. This gives them their own Sponsor section where they can list ads. We require a Sponsorship if a member is going to do ongoing commercial sales here. But I don't see why people wouldn't be able to be Sponsors, just to say they sponsor the board. It's kind of a neat idea.

LOL Al's not going to Hawaii with the money, he's running the site with it. I don't think most people realize how much it costs to run a full dedicated server, plus pay for all the software and stuff.

Thanks again Everyone.... as for going to hawaiii... I would love it. With a 4 year old, 2 year old , house and yard full of critters, not to mention some very small Hobby forums that I am involved rather deeply in....It'd be tough, even if it was paid for ! LOL..

I do like the idea of a SimplyD get together some day... I think I better find some corporate sponsors for that event though. (no, no, and no...not in the forseeable future, not in the works..not now!:) )

Everyone... I really appreciate it if you do send something in, but please don't feel you have to... just having a good group of people here is a great thing.... Field of dreams... not a really good movie, but I love the line...

Marie... You are way too funny, and very very very smart.;) I see your point and it would be great, it would also remove alot of other issues if it were to happen alot. A forum funded by individuals acting as sponsors because they enjoyed the site, not because they wanted to sell on it.... It has merit... Its some thing we talked about, but it would require alot of thought and alot of public support..

In the very near future... theres going to be alot of changes here... and I mean alot....lets see what the future brings.
