prefilter questions

This is related to a post I put on another thread so sorry for the repetition.

Anyone know if the Filter Max III will fit an AC 200? I think it has a small connector that will but I'm not sure. Also, are there prefilters that will fit the rectangular tube of a Penguin or Emperor?

Don't know answer to your question.

But another option is you can also just buy extra sponge filter.
Soak it.
Put in freezer.
Once frozen take knife and cut out opening slightly smaller than your intake tube.
Put it on and u just saved some money.

The Filtermax III comes with the attachments to fit any size Aquaclear along with most other filters.

You shouldn't have any problems.

I use the Filter Max III on my AC 110. I think there is an attachment for smaller AC.

I think so too! I noticed a smaller connection that I actually used on my XP3. I just didn't think about it working on the AC 200.

The Filter-Max III is designed to fit a lot of different filter makes and sizes. It comes with a whole bunch of different fitting combos that you can use. I have them on my AC110s (old 500s) and I love them. Easy to take off and clean, and they look nice and neat (my homemade ones always looked like crap, lol).
