one of the pelvic fins on my cobalt is broken off. Do I need to treat the fish with salt? Will the fin regrow back?

The soft, fleshy part of fins will regrow, but not the bony part. It depends how much of the fin is missing.

One of my discus was sick a long time ago and half his pelvic fins rotted away and regrew completely, but again, it didn't go to the bony-part.

Here are the pics of the fish.
This one shows both pelvic fins, you can see one is longer than other.

I can't see pictures either, but Sidra is correct on regrowth of pelvic fins.

I can see pics, and it does not look as though it has broken at the bone so I think it will grow back fine.

Im getting red X's here for pics but right clicked for properties and copy and pasted to see pics.

Really cant tell anything from the pics tho.

I too have a runted gold discus with a bad fin ........... the bone is in tact but the soft fin grew straight up from the mid point. It was like that when i got it tho so i have no idea what happened to it.

That's fine and it will regrow, shouldn't worry too much about it.
