Males or females

Just some questions that have been coming up......

with a community of both males and females..... working out the pecking order...do you find that females are more aggressive or males?

I think mine are close to pairing and breeding age. Do you find the males fight more over females or females fight more over males for breeding purposes?

My experience right now is the boys are still squabling over who gets the pretty little female. I think there is 3 boys and girl trying to get things worked out.

When they start to grow their little point at the top fin at the back, is this a sign of age for the males, possible breeding age?

i know the girls have round fins.

Sampson shakes like crazy when the female comes near his breeding brick. All he wants to do is breed (just like a male huh?)

Many times it's the females shaking at the breeding site first. I've had several females with streamers too . . . .

My female blue ghost has the "butterfly" fin but the male has not grown his yet. She looks funny with it though because her fin is round :)
