thanks for the replies. I am trying to let the giant vallis take over the background. I am using Aqua glow and flora glow 30 watt bulbs. They are on for 10hrs. Eco-complete and a mixture of gravel covers the bottom. I am just starting to inject co2 into my tank,2 bubbles per second. I am using a liquid fertilizer for now. Here is the list of what is in my tank:

3 red melon Discus
1 leopard Discus
1 Bolivian ram
2 golden rams
school of rummy nosed tetras
1 siamese algae eater
1 bristle nose catfish
3 adolfoi corydoras

Plants

amazonian sword
dwarf sword
giant vallis
cryptos

Nice looking tank.

I thought about adding sopme plants to my community tank but only have one 40 watt buld on it. I do have a couple plants in there but not even sure what they are. (a tall fern looking thing .....lol.....with pinkish tips) My pleco keeps uprooting them and i just keep sticking them back in the gravel ...... lol.
