euthanizing

I'm doing everything I can to save this poor guy...but to no avail...he has no energy and lays on his side...he can't really swim beacause his side fines are GONE...they literally disappeared. I don't know the cause of this...was it the medication?

I feel that I should put him out of his misery.

Any thoughts?
Is there a possibility that he will come around??

Sadly from what you've described here, and reading your previous posts I fear you have come to the correct decision. Many recommend freezing it, if you can get hold of an anasthetic that is undoubtedly the best way, but if not, fill a container with enough tank water to cover the fish and place it in your freezer.

I wish I could be more optimistic.

He's gone....I euthanized him...didn't think it would be that hard but he was in rough shape. On the bright side my first one is doing great! The second one looks better and he is eating...I'll continue to treat him and see what happens.
