My discus fry hatched about 2 days ago, and not yet free swimming. But this evening, I started to see a small cluster of hydra near the sponge filter. What can I do? Is there any safe treatment to kill off the hydra, and not damage the fry? What's people's experience?
Normally, I wouldn't have problems breaking down the tank and starting over, but since the pair have new fry, I don't know.
Has anyone tried a water polisher like the vortex? Again, my concern would be that using it right now, when the fry are so young, wouldn't be such a great idea?
