I know that Canada does not need special permits to import ornamental fish as long as they are not endangered.

I will be buying some discus in my trip to Hong Kong. Have anyone taken the fish on board with them when returning to Canada?

Do I need to acknowledge or report to any officers before taking my fish on board? (such as getting an export permit in HK)

I will be following the suggestion below to pack my fish, is there anything else that I need to be aware of?

1. The day before on board, feed the fish one meal only

2. Put the fish in 3 plastic bags, of course the innermost one is filled with oxgen

3. Enclosed the whole thing with heat pads and then styrofoam.
