Bacterial treatement

I have a 9 watt U.V. lamp in my tank. My fish flash dance and I suspect it may be a bacterial deases. If i light up my UV lamp will it kill all bacterie in the tank and rid the fish of them or may some bacterial will always stay on the fish skin?

Simply put is: If fish are strike by bacterial deases or infetion is UV lamp will be enought or will I need some MED?

I think they are still upset from the water problem.

a uv lamp should not hurt the bio filter, but yours may have been ruined ?? we don't know as you had high ammonia.
you need to test water for ammonia and nitrite everyday now to see if the filter is ok

no uv until you know about the filter.
