I like Heckels and RSG's but I think that blue discus are the most attractive and colorful of the wild discus "subspecies". The combination of the red background color with blue striations is very visually appealing to me.
Here are some blues for you:

This Inanu has more blue striations and also prominent fifth and six bars.

The jatapu in this photo is my favorite discus. It has horizontal striations throughout its body extending to the forehead and the area of the belly under the gill plate - like a striated red turqouise or red royal blue.

This Trinidad is quite interesting. It is one of two fish that I have that has the brightest red patches that I have ever seen in a wild caught discus.
You can see the exact same fish from the photo below when it was newly imported at Oliver's facility:

The photograph I posted below was taken a little over a year after I bought the fish.
All my Discus are fed a diet of blackworms, mysis, color bits and Omega One flake. I don't add anything else to enhance their colors.

:D They are stunning Ramon!! Just the colors I love; hope to have some similar ones someday....I was not aware that red colored wilds with the beautiful blue fins was called a C. Blue!! I was under the misimpression that the reds came from browns.....Have you had any success breeding the Curiperas??? Seems we don't hear/read much 'bout that these days, just hoping someday one of you guys/gals out there will be successful..... Dottie ;)

Hi Dottie,
Curipera are blue discus as are most of the wild "reds".
No success in the breeding department for me but I am always hopeful. I do know that Bob(Upper Canada) has had succesful spawns.
