Thought I should share with you some pictures of my Heckels. These are my favourite discus. I have four of them, but a 240 gallons with 10-15 is my dream:) .

All I know about my Heckels are that they are VF. It is not easy to get a location for them since Norway is so far away from Brazil that the fish has to stop on several locations before hitting Norway. My pet store doesn’t know the location

Two of them are between three and four years and two of them are between two and three years.

Yoda, absolutely wonderful.

A 240gal tank with 15 Heckels, now that would be someting, ok just got to think wher can I put a 240 gal tank.....

Really good looking fish, hugely jealous.

paul buy the 240 gallon tank and put it at my place.. I'll look after em for y aand send you photos on a monthly basis.. i'll get a good camera just incase they get too fast to photograph:p

Heckel discus is that kind of fish that you must sit down and study before you see its beauty. Thy do not stand out beside domestic strain, but I don’t think there is no domestic discus that can compare itself against a fully grown Heckel.

I don’t have to measure the water, the Heckels tells me what to do. If the water conditions are not good enough they get a darker colour instantly. They almost shouting out loud : Hey you! Change more water, will youJ.

Finally two of mine Heckels decided to spawn. A bit strange since the pH is 6.7. I didn’t get wigglers but just to se them spawning was a great moment:) .
