I've seen some pics in this forum that are just stunning. I need to take some pics with my digital camera & would like to know the best way. If I use the camera's flash, it seems to spook the fish, plus sometimes the glass gives me a reflection. How about the fluorescent lights only, with no camera flash? How about natural lights? any hints? Thanks. Dan:confused:
Hi Dan,
The best method I've found is at night, with room lights off and tank lights on... no flash. Also use a "sports" mode, if your camera has one.

no lights other then tank, no flash, semi fast speed on the camera, might want to turn the ISO up alittle bit.

Thanks guys! I shall give it a click. Heck, if something comes out good, I might even post them!

Feed them so they will stay still for a good shot. Mine will never sit still for good pics unless they are busy eating.
Make sure it's on auto focus too. Some have a thing where you aim it at the object, push the 'take picture' button halfway down (that focuses it) for a second, then push all the way down to take the shot.
Try not to take a head on shot, go to an angle. I really like to use the flash but it does take some patience to get really nice pics
