My apisto cacatuoides triple reds came yesterday and two of these tiny guys were in with them. Does anyone know exactly what they are? At first I thought they were somekind of tetra but they skim the tank bottom when they eat like a catfish or a shark. They are in 82-84 degree water and seem to be doing fine but I have no clue LOL! They are just over a quarter inch long so I cannot get a clear picture :(
Thanks,
Frank

Frank,

At that size I suspect its a fry of some tetra, maybe a rummynose, silver tip, red eye, diamond or buenos aries. I know - not much help but I'd go for Silver Tip tetra.

Dwarf Corydoras, Pygmy Corydoras, Tail Spot Pygmy Catfish, Mini Spotlight Corydoras

The body of the Dwarf Corydoras is slightly more elongated than the "typical" Corydoras shape. The body is translucent and white to pale green in color. The caudal penuncle is marked with black spot which is surrounded by a thin white marking. A thin black line extends from the midsection back to the black marking on the caudal penuncle.

SIZE: To 1" (2.5 cm)
