Brian, I should have known you would set some aside for me. My male golden I got from you just spawned with a turk last night and as of this evening all the eggs were a beautiful gold color. They have spawned 4-5 times and got wigglers on at least 3 occasions. I just keep letting them figure it out. She is an experienced mom but he is a rookie. I have no idea what the fry would look like but am just trying to give him some experience with a proven female that raises good fry. I have come to figure that both the goldens are males, just one big one and one smaller one. The smaller has been in with my proven Turk male for about 2 months now and no action. Maybe a male, maybe a shy female. Only time will tell. Thanks again for setting some of the golden fry back for me.

We all need to get together so I can meet Ike and Willie. Just let me know when and where and I will be there. Like I said before, I will bring the brew and plenty of ice. I pack beer with ice alot better than I cook. LOL

I have set aside the decent ones and the rest are being culled. I'd say I have around 20 left for good homes, besides the 8 or so I set aside for Troy and Ike, if they still want them...

Brian, I really appreciate it. I will let you know when I plan to come to KC. BTW, the male golden I told you about earlier and his turk lady hatched out about 100 very strong healthy babies. They are about a week and a half old now and both parents are great. I was a little concerned that the golden wasn't going to be able to feed them since he didn't turn darker like the turk but the babies spend an equal amount of time with him and mom. They even don't seem to mind when I do the daily water changes and wipe down the sides. If you can't tell, I am really excited about this batch. I can't wait for them go grow so I can see what the babies will look like. I guess thats half the fun LOL. Thanks again Brian

Thanks Ike, I had gotten this Male and another golden from Brian a while back and was hoping that I had a male and female. This male is paired with a very good rearing female turk. I have the other golden in with the usual mate of the female turk in the picture to see if I see any eggs. I haven't seen any yet and I am starting to think I have two males. Oh well, I can't wait to see what the crosses look like. Hopefully not to much pepper. Thanks again.

I have been MIA for a while but just read this post and maybe would be interested in some if you have any left. My work and family life has been hectic to say the least but I still have some discus.
