A Stupic Question butt want to be sure.

I have just put a 1 micron sediment and carbon filter on my tap water line going into my barrel. The carbon block is rated for 20,ooo gallons. The question is......With the carbon on there, there is no need for a declor product, am I wright or wrong on this. Thanks.

That ought to be correct.

unless you have chloramines in your water instead of chlorine. If so, the barbon will break the bond between the chlorine and ammonia and leave the ammonia to pass into yours system. If your product water is free of ammonia, you're probably ok.

I'm doing exactly this in the next few weeks. You'll want 2 carbon filters to make sure that all the chlorine is removed. I'm going with a 10 micron sediment, a 5 micron carbon, and a 1 micron carbon.
