I got some new discus this morning and put them in the 75gal tank. Feed them flakes but they didn't eat much. Thirty mins later I drop in some white worms and they went crazy over it. After they ate, I did the water change, about 40-50%. When I came back from work, about 9 hours later, I noticed they've become bigger. Well that's what I think, but I'm not sure. When I got them this morning they were 1.5inch, now they're 1.6. Maybe I measure wrong in the morning. Anyway, how fast do they grow.

It doesn't sound right though. That's 3 inch in a month.

well..how on earth did you measure..to see that then? maybe its just the settled in..and opened up their fins etc..feeling less stressed..
and white worms fatten them up quick.
only feed what they come up and eat..dont leave food on the bottom. they will come up more and more once settled.

Also don't over feed white worms, they are an excellent food but not good as a main source.

I have some 2 month old fry and I swear what your saying is true. I work two twelve hour shifts on the weekend and when I see them on Monday morning they do look bigger.
