Hello,

Some one tell me that water conductivity as a direct effect on Discus getting in pair. He said the more the conductivity is low, the more you fish will get in pair. Is it true?

No its not true. Conductivity has no influence on fish pairing.

Hello Paul,

So whatever the conductivity I have in my tank I will get the same number of pair in a group?

I have had a couple pairs get together in a comm. tank but found that the majority of my success was just grabbing 2 fish and put them in a breeding tank to see what happens. I do have to agree that the hardness doesn't effect this but it sure is better to have them in soft water when they lay eggs or you just lose that batch
