I have read about using PP to disinfect.
My memory isn't real good on this info I read and forgot to stick it in my folder.
Would one want to then use the bleach routine also?
Or does PP do the full job?

Greg,
I believe all you would need to use is the potassium permanganate. But since you're disinfecting eqiupment why not just use bleach? It won't turn anything purple (like your hands) and is probably more effective.

Bleach is more effective... quicker and cheaper..

Theres no need to use PP after bleach... and mixing the two accidentally could be very dangerous!:)

The only thing bleach does not work well on is sponges...it eats them..best to discard these and buy new, or try boiling for 45 minutes.

:D :D Only a suggestion: microwave for 1-2 minutes will work! JMO, Dottie ;)

Larry and Al thanks for your response.

Larry. To answer your question reason is I use the opportunity when I use PP on something to run it thru my wc line and pump. Always looking for ways to save steps but the step saved has to match my end goal result.

Dottie. Yes, I got the microwave idea from Carol for those.
