I have a couple of large pieces of driftwood which have had to be cut to get then into the tank.

Can they be rejoined with copper screws?

thanks for your comments.

Personally, i wouldn't go for copper screws.. They will trun green and corrode pretty quickly. Go for SS screws.

Cheers

copper can leach into the tank water, its a poison (i use copper-based paint on the hull of my sailboat because its poisonous to marine life and keeps crap from growing on the hull)

use stainless steel

and a lot of medication is based on copper as well (and it kills shrimp and snail quite fast).

Normally professional job for rock and woods builidng background either use silicone auqarium safe and stainless steel screw or rod.
