In a qt tank with only two sponge filters, to remove meds do you just put a bag of charcoal in the tank and do regular water changes. How long should the bag of charcoal be left in the tank? I was treating for flukes with fluke tabs, and want to make sure the water is now free of meds.

Chris, I would just do a number of large w/c's, squeeze the sponges well and thats all. I don't think carbon is necessary in this case. Besides you need to get the water flowing through the carbon, difficult with sponge filters :)

I agree...if you have a cheap hang on filter you can use the carbon cartridge...otherwise just do the large water changes and you should be fine
