Hello Jimmy,

I wouldn't keep more than 4-5 the most.
A planted discus tank is a bit tricky plus if your discus are small they might not grow as much.
Go around the forum and read a bit more regarding planted tanks with discus.

Rule of thumb is 10 gal per fish. You can lower that if you are doing daily large wc's. If this is your first time to keep discus I would not start out with a planted tank. JMO I would start out bb and then work your way into a planted.

I would have to agree, you really have to be experienced with one or the other to make it work well.

If you dont feel you can rate yourself 7/10 in knowledge on one or the other then either do a BB discus tank, or start with a planted tank with community fish like tetras.
