There are lots of threads saying what to look for when buying adault discus. But my budget is very low, so the only way out is buying juveniles (around 1-2 inches. So what should I look for when buying juvies?

There have been many discussions on what to look for when choosing good quality fish. I'll post a couple of links here for you. If you have further questions, feel free to post them.

I would also peruse the Discus University section as there is a wealth of pictures, reviews, and information there to help you.

Look for fat, happy youngsters that swim to the front of the tank and beg for food. Eyes should be clear and bright. Shapewise - Rounder the better. Pass on dark, listless, cloudy-eyed discus that refuse to eat.
