We used to have some breeder in Austin but they are not doing it any more. What kind and what size of discus are you looking for? There are a few LFS in the area that has discus from Hans.

wheres john nicholson? hes in texas..maybe houston..not sure..hes a long time hobbyist breeder and has very nice fish. hes on here in the discus university to help learn..shapes etc..due to his expertise. check him out.

John, I believe resides in Caddo Mills, about 50 mi SE of Dallas. nice guy=nice fish

Ya'll are pretty close. Caddo Mills is about 40 miles north east of Dallas. I do have a deer lease in Harper so I go though Austin every couple of months or so. If I can help you in anyway please let me know.

What do you currently have for sale? Are you coming through Austin any time soon? I passed right through Caddo Mills on my way to Sulphur Springs just a few months ago. Wished I would of know then you were there.

I have a planted tank that I started a year ago (55g)with the intention to turn it into discus tank. I've been several places in DFW looking at Discus. The best I've found so far was a place in Richardson but the guy was so pushy I swore I would never go back. Caddo Mills would be a bit of a drive for me from Ponder (just outside of Denton) but not too bad. I would be interested in what you have to offer.

Right now I have several different snakeskine crosses. The range from about 3 1/2 inches of body down to 2 days freeswimming. I also have one large adult female that I would sale and maybe one adult male. Samcatj I will not be going though Austin again until tomorrow...LOL. Don't worry though I will be passing though at least every other month. Jcnorwood I know where Ponder is at. I have a friend that is running a 2200 acre place in Stoney. IM me if you like and I will send you my phone number, but remember I seldom check the net on the weekends.

Thanks for the reply fish maniac.
I visited the local aquarium stores purchased some
discus went to bookstores got books search over the
internet (this wonderful site) and oh surprise. The discus
I got from the locals does not meet the discus standard.

I flew to Seattle (business trip) and flew back two discus
from mac's discus leopard skin & pigeon blood perfectly
round.

I have a 5" female blue pidgeon, 4.5" Male White Dragon, and a 3" Ring Leopard that I am looking to get rid of. I will take $55 each or $150 for aall three. The Blue Pidgeon & White Dragon have laigs eggs & raised them for 7 days on more than one occasion.
