How long, under ideal conditions, does it take a juvenile discus to reach full maturity?
Should be pretty full grown by 8 or 9 months depending on the strain. Obviously they will continue to grow after that but at a much slower rate. I have a ss that is 3 years old and he continues to get larger.

you can get away with it for ever but as they get bigger you need to do more water changes as the bio load gets bigger and bigger.

I am curios if different strains also have different full grown sizes. Perhaps a generalization of various members of strain A VS strain B at xx months of the same feeding schedule and WC schedule.
