WHY SUSPEND MODE??

Hey Guys ~

All of a sudden my computer goes into Suspend MODE ? ***? Like I will walk back into my office and the screen is black but the key board is still lit so I move the mouse and I have to hit the space bar to get the screen to pop back on and then from the speakers I hear this loud pop and the screen shows that I was bumped off AOL and Yahoo and it says: "you were disconnected from AOL and the internet because your computer went into SUSPEND MODE"!

Why is it doing that all of a sudden? I never told it to start Suspending out! lol! Anyone know how to turn that off?

Hi Marie - right click on your desktop, click properties, select screen saver tab on top, click "power" button on right bottom corner, then change system standby, system hibernates and turn off monitor to "Never". That should work.

Maybe you accidently changed a setting somehow... and put it on a power save mode.

Hey Marie, Welcome to the Club!! My grandkids have made my computer get silly sometimes, little fingers hitting keys. I had a little box on my desktop, just an empty box, for a month, til someone told me how to get rid of it!! Lol
Then there's my own fat fingers hitting the wrong things!! sometimes can't win!

Well no one is on my computer but me and I certainly did not go into Properties and touch anything ~
