Our First Eggs!

I was SOoo not expecting to see this tonight!! One of our discus laid eggs!! :shocked:

I'm not sure if they were fertilized or what. I think that is the female in the pic. It has been staying near the eggs constantly. We missed the big event. Do they lay eggs if they haven't paired up? Our likely suspect for the male is our blue ghost :p

I'd prefer it if our red discus would have paired up with this one...but oh well. I'm sure the eggs won't hatch anyways, but we'll see what happens. We're just so surprised!

Awww Sorry they ate them! They'll probably lay more tho :) Hopefully you will witness it next time!

I just want to add too that I "had" :( a female that got excited when there was a new male in the tank and she followed him cleaning and shaking all the time and he showed no intrest but she was so excited that she laid anyways by herself lol. I guess she was hoping he'd come over. Didn't work out for her lol. It was sad, poor girl! lol
