if i buy 8 to 12 discus at 2 to 3 in. how long will it take for them to pair off , and if i can keep angles do u think i can keep discus(r they really that differnt)

Welcome to Simply. :)

Size does not necessarily indicate age. However, a 2-3 inch fish should be 3 months old or so. If this is the case, you can expect them to start pairing off in 9 months or when they are around a year old.

Some strains and individuals may take more time to sexually mature. Others will take less. Blue Diamonds, for example, are notorious for taking forever to become sexually mature.

Discus are really different than angels to raise and breed. If you can raise and breed Discus you can raise and breed angels, but the reverse is not true.

Timbo, those are cool. Are they yours? I like them ;) . But...you say they are breeding? LOL.
